Profiles Steve Marvanek

Steve Marvanek

Steve made his acting debut in 2008 in the role of Michael in Stirling Players' Best Comedy award-winning production of It's My Party (And I’ll Die if I Want To) after a colleague, dragged him kicking and screaming, to the audition.

Despite the terror of this baptism of fire, the bug had bit. Since then he has performed regularly with Stirling, most recently as Darcy in Scenes from a Separation, Dr Spivey in One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest and the hapless Bryan in last year's ATG Best Comedy winner Female of the Species.

After a couple of plays with the Adelaide University Theatre Guild, playing Marco in the highly acclaimed and ATG Best Drama winner, A View from the Bridge, and featuring in The Pillowman, Steve has returned to tread the Stirling Theatre' boards once again, playing multiple roles in the Compleat Female Stage Beauty.
